Re: Problem with Bladez XTR - 2005/08/28 10:23
Well, you just about narrowed it down to all the things that can be covered without looking at the scooter! However, it would be less likely that the throttle is the issue since you do get the motor to run when you use the throttle. This doesn't completely rule out a throttle issue, but I would need to do some meter tests to determine the actual cause of your slow motor. The info you ask for constitutes a whole course or book on diagnostics, a little beyond what one entry in this forum can dish out. It could be a combination of things, in particular the issue of damage caused by an over tight chain or belt as we discussed in an earlier message. Jumps, potholes or other tricks that could slam or push the wheel back can overtighten the chain. If left unchecked this can cause a motor to use more energy than necessary to turn and the constant pull of too many amps can fry a controller. Rather than worry, bring that scooter in for a complete Diagnostic check-up.
