We all love the LashOut scooters here; such smooth performance! HOWEVER! we again are looking at another manufacturer that is no longer producing new product. We like to suggest experimenting with a scooter built with a BRUSHED motor instead. This means the controller is external to the motor and eliminates many of the problems from inadeqate heat dissipation that often plague brushless motor designs.
I've often wondered when someone would think to put a tiny fan next to the controller or motor like what every computer & laptop has. It's not a new concept or really difficult, just a matter of deciding to spend a little more $$ to design & build.
The Currie scooters a upgradable & separate components are available. Look for the new 1000 watt system as an upgrade kit sometime in 2006.
