How do I adjust the chain?
|
|
Keep the right tension on your drive belt or chain during use. A loose drive belt will allow the teeth on the motor gear to slip and wear at an excessive rate. In addition, this effectively slows your scooter down! Failure of the belt can occur due to slippage or by heat generated from the improper tension. The belt/chain can be adjusted by moving the rear tire foreward or back. Just loosen the large axle nuts to do this. Check your specs, but look for approximately one-half to one-quarter inch give when pressing against the middle of the span. |
